Check and list all of your standard weekly to monthly to annual expenditure. Everyone thinks about their rent, mortgage, insurances, loans, etc. But the little purchases add up quickly too! From your lottery ticket, to monthly average fuel, to your coffee fix. Build a budget around your actual spend, so you dont miss anything.
Direct debits and standing orders
Most banks will list all DDR's and STO's that are associated with your account. Whether it's a streaming service subscription or an annual club membership. This is a good place to look for old things you can cancel and irregular (e.g. annual) things that you might forget to budget for!
